USMA 5K Fun Run/Walk

for the Susan G. Komen Foundation

Two Rivers Park, Nashville

Join us to support the fight against Breast Cancer.  USMA’s 5K Run/Walk is now in its fourth year.  The event is open to runners of all levels.  There is a $25 fee for this event.  A donation of $25 will go to the Susan G. Komen Foundation in their fight against breast cancer.  The cost of the race is supported by sponsorship from Central Moloney and USMA. Pre-registration is required before May 11, 2020.  By participating you are self-certifying that your physical condition is appropriate for this event.

Three participation options:
  1. Run the race – enjoy a good, short, hard run
  2. Walk the run course – complete the 3.1 mile course along with the runners
  3. NEW this year: Walking tour of the area surrounding the JW Marriott. A 3 mile walk departing from the hotel at 7:00 am with a guide.

Frequently Asked Questions:

A running trail course, 3.1 miles long has been set up at Two Rivers Park. The race course begins at shelter house #2, traveling through the Two Rivers Greenway. This is an out and back course.
USMA will provide transportation to and from the park for the run/walk. The schedule will be posted in the USMA App and will soon appear on this website.
The course will be checked on the morning of the event to determine if it is possible to continue in light rain. If lightning is confirmed within 30 minutes of the race start, in the vicinity, the race may be cancelled or delayed.  Check the USMA Conference APP for notifications or ask the USMA Meeting Staff who will be in the lobby of the JW Marriott beginning at 6:00 am.
Preliminary results will be posted during the race. Posted results will be available after the race.
Pick them up at the USMA Registration desk on the 2nd floor of the JW Marriott Nashville on Saturday May 16 from 1:00 – 6:00 pm.  Those not picked up will be available as your board transportation to the race on Sunday morning.

The course will be open for 90 minutes from the start time. 
The minimum age to participate in the run is 18 years.  However, young children in jogging strollers may be brought along with an adult but are not official participants.
Walkers are welcome. This year you may walk the race course at the park or participate in a walking tour of 3 miles that begins and ends at the hotel.
A bag check area will be available at shelter house #2 for the run/walk.  USMA is not responsible for lost or stolen items. There is no bag check area for the city walking tour.
There are facilities across from shelter house #2 at the park. This is at the beginning and end of the race course. If you are participating in the walking tour, you’ll need to take care of your needs before leaving the hotel.
The 5K run/walk will be held at Twin Rivers Park a 1- minute ride from the hotel (transportation provided). The city walking tour will depart from the hotel with a guide.  The walking tour will cover the area near the hotel which represents a small sampling of what Nashville has to offer.
