Co-founder and President of Team Rubicon, and author of “Take Command”
Jake Wood is co-founder and CEO of Team Rubicon, a non-profit organization that utilizes the skills of military veterans to deploy disaster response teams. Under his leadership, Team Rubicon has responded to over 100 disasters since the 2010 Haiti earthquake and grown from eight to 35,000 members. Prior to Team Rubicon, Wood served four years in the United States Marine Corps where he graduated at the top of his class at Boot Camp, the School of Infantry, and the Marine Scout Sniper School. During his service he deployed to both Iraq and Afghanistan, and earned numerous commendations, including the Navy-Marine Corps Commendation Medal with Valor distinguishing device. Wood holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin with a double major in Business and Political Science. He played football for the Badgers on a full athletic scholarship and was twice selected to the Academic All-Big Ten football team.

Leigh Gallagher is an editor at Fortune. In her role as Assistant Managing Editor at Fortune, Leigh writes and edits feature stories, helps steer the publication’s editorial direction and oversees its annual “40 Under 40” list. She is a co-chair of the Fortune Most Powerful Women Summit and the executive director of the MPW Next Gen Summit. From 2014 through 2016 Leigh was the host of Fortune Live, Fortune.com’s weekly 30-minute video show featuring one-on-one interviews and roundtable panels with CEOs, entrepreneurs and other leaders from the business world.
She is the author of The Airbnb Story: How Three Ordinary Guys Disrupted an Industry, Made Billions…and Created Plenty of Controversy. The first book solely focused on the origins and growth, color and controversy of the $30 billion disruptive “home-sharing” startup, The Airbnb Story has been called “an engrossing story,” a “must-read,” and has been named a highly-anticipated book of 2017. Leigh is also the author of The End of the Suburbs: Where the American Dream is Moving, published in 2013 and described by the New York Times and others as “prophetic.”
Leigh is also a seasoned on-air commentator, appearing regularly on MSNBC’s Morning Joe, CBS This Morning, CNBC’s Squawk Box, CNN and a variety of other outlets; she can be heard every other Friday on the “Weekly Wrap” with host Kai Ryssdal on public radio’s Marketplace. She is a frequent moderator and keynote speaker at Fortune and other business and economic conferences. She is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and a past visiting scholar at the Business and Economic Reporting program at the Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute at New York University. Originally from Media, PA, she is a graduate of Cornell University and lives in Brooklyn, New York.
Team Captain of the First American Women’s Everest Expedition & Author of “On the Edge: Leadership Lessons from Everest and Other Extreme Environments”
Alison Levine is a history-making polar explorer and mountaineer. She served as team captain of the first American Women’s Everest Expedition, climbed the highest peak on each continent and skied to both the North and South Poles – a feat known as the Adventure Grand Slam. She has applied her life lesson to climbing the corporate ladder in the Pharmaceutical industry and Goldman Sachs. The holds an MBA from Duke University. She served as deputy finance director for Arnold Schwarzenegger in his successful bid to become Governor of California. She spent four years as an adjunct professor at the United States Military Academy at Westpoint and is a contributing author to the book, “Leadership in Dangerous Situations: A Handbook for Armed Forces, Emergency Services and First Responders”.

With more than 20 years of procurement experience across various organizations and industries, Jon Kesman, Global Procurement Director for Allegis Global Solutions (AGS), serves as part of our Center of Excellence for Services Procurement and SOW management. Working to continually expand this offering, Jon helps to ensure that AGS clients enjoy the full extent of benefits available through their programs.
Over the course of his career, Jon has delivered outstanding results in both advisory and consulting roles, as well as in steady-state procurement organizations. The vast majority of his procurement category expertise lies in contingent workforce and professional services categories. Prior to joining AGS, Jon was an executive procurement sponsor for one of AGS’ MSP clients, and spent eight years partnered with AGS to expand that program across the US and into the UK, including incorporating independent contractor compliance solution to mitigate risk. Additionally, as a consultant, Jon spent more than three years working with clients to develop and implement strategic sourcing and category management plans.
Jon’s coequal roles as a solution provider and buyer also provide him with a unique advantage. As a leader in steady-state corporate procurement organizations, Jon’s extensive experience over a combined 12-year period drove results related to cost savings, risk mitigation, and managed spend across multiple organizations in the categories of professional services and contingent labor. With his distinctive blend of experience, Jon is able to understand many of the challenges facing AGS’ clients when it comes to managing their contingent workforce and services spend categories. Jon earned his bachelor of arts degree in Purchasing and Operations Management from the acclaimed Supply Chain Management Program at Michigan State University.

Margaret Morford has proven her expertise as a workplace expert through her best-selling books, national seminars and television interviews. She has practical, real world experience as a manager, as the VP of Human Resources at several companies, and as a lawyer with a JD Degree from the Vanderbilt University School of Law. Mentalist and Magician
In the summer of 2015, Oz was featured on TV’s number one rated show, America’s Got Talent. Week after week, he captivated the country with never-before-seen mentalism routines and quickly became a fan favorite, finishing in third place out of thousands of acts. Oz has also appeared on a variety of both national and international networks, a few of which include NBC’s Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, The TODAY Show & ABC World News and been profiled in Forbes, The New York Times, to name but a few.
Oz is a world-class entertainer and one of the busiest mentalists in the country. He developed an interest in magic at a young age and what started as a hobby quickly became a lifelong passion. After a couple of years spent working on Wall Street, Oz decided to pursue his dream and become a full time entertainer. He has now been dazzling audiences with his unique mind-reading ability for over a decade.
When he isn’t blowing the minds of audiences around the world, Oz is an avid marathon and ultra-marathon runner, having completed such grueling races as the Badwater 135 Miler, Hawaii Ironman World Championships, Western States 100 and Spartathlon. He takes great pride in his marathon PR of 2:23:52 and has won dozens of races throughout the country.
